Edinburgh City Council Achieves Monumental Energy Savings with Eness’ LED Technology

Eness Lighting has enabled Edinburgh City Council to achieve a monumental energy saving by replacing three 70Watt luminaires with just one of its Leo LED floodlight at the Allan Ramsay statue in the city’s Princes Street Gardens.

Featuring 30 x Osram high performance LEDs, Eness’ Leo floodlight delivers a wide spread of light which achieves the same level of lighting as the previous configuration whilst saving over 80% on its energy bill.

Eness Lighting’s Managing Director, Norrie Scott, said “Requiring just 36 Watts and with a life expectancy of over 15 years of high performance, maintenance free lighting, it’s no wonder that more and more organisations are looking at replacing traditional light sources with our Leo LED floodlight.”

He added, “The immediate energy savings on a day to day basis together with the fact that these lights will never need to be replaced over their 15 year life expectancy means that  the return on investment is as little as 3 years.”
